I've received quite a few eMails from concerned UF members asking about the downtime so I thought I would give a little insight into the situation.

Due to increasing costs and some financial difficulties of my own, I have to negotiate for the best available prices. I've been working hard behind the scenes to facilitate this.

Due to the increasing cost of hosting, I'm going to place a few small yahoo banners around to try to offset a portion of the costs. Please visit the sponsors occasionally and help to support this site.

I will continue to work to make UF the best it can be.

Thanks for your support RB. I've had some problems over the last month or two and things are starting to get better now.

I just try not to air my issues in public. People have enough problems of their own to worry about mine.

GW Dude ... I'm an upstate sorta-semi-regular ... next time you have issues, contact me ... I host sites, I have two servers, and I'm here if you need me ... I'm sure I can beat any rates ...

Even if you don't have fundage$ ... I know we can work out a win/win arrangement ... something like ... I'll host this board for nuttin ... you place my teenie tiny hosting banner at the bottom and allow me to abuse your php talents from time to time ... lol!

Thanks so much Kimberly but I'm actually purchasing a dedicated server for host reselling and hosting multiple commercial sites. UF is just a little piece of a bigger pie. I've ironed out the issues with my provider and all is well for now. I really like their instant trouble ticket response and 99.9% uptime for the commercial accounts that I host and admin. I've never had a problem with their service. There were other issues...

Thanks for the offer and I might need a backup mirror if something like this occurs again.

As far as PHP help, I'll be more that happy to assist as time permits. My availablilty will be sporadic for the next couple of months tho..
