Looks like I'll be voting for a democrat for SC Senate.

Well, I certainly won't be voting for Lindsey Graham. That's for sure..

Quote:
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham easily won his primary Tuesday against a fellow Republican who hammered his ties to Arizona Sen. John McCain.

Graham, an Air Force Reserve colonel who has served in Iraq, had name recognition and a huge financial advantage. McCain won the January primary in South Carolina and Graham has used his endorsement in television ads.

Peas in a pod...

Quote:
"I think he votes in our best interest, <snip> needing an actual immigration law instead of the way it is right now," said retired construction worker Glenn Muskovin, who said he voted for Graham

What an idiot. Doesn't he know we already have immigration laws but they are not being enforced. If he wasn't already retired from the construction business, he would have probably lost his job to an illegal alien by now. Oh well, I guess lots of S.C. Neocons in the GOP feel the same way as this clown does. This fact has only serves to move me further away from the GOP.

This ain't your daddy's GOP. Smile

Hehe Daddy was a Dem...

Like I said, you can't run as the Anticandidate.

Our local lawyer/politician is in a runoff after all so there may be hope for us.

Same here. We have a run off between Talley and Bright. Talley is looking to move up from the SC house to the SC senate. There's really no telling who would be better at the job. I liked Talley's positions on the issues so I went with him.

Maybe we can vote in some state leaders who are willing to stand behind Gov. Sanford's reforms. I hope Ritchie gets taken down in the run off over in Spartanburg County. Out with the old and in with the new.

Looks like Graham, DeMint and Inglis are entrenched. Did you notice what they attributed to Graham's win? More money to spend on commercials and better name recognition. I mean damn, if that is the only criteria one uses to cast a vote, just stay at home and let the people who have done their homework do the voting.

It's sad but true. Incombants have the home field advantage. This Senate Seat 10 is open only because Drummond is giving it up after 40 freaking years. Last time he ran he ran on the idea that "Because my wife would want me to" she died a year or two prior to that election. "Vote for me, my wife died"....And they did.

But like I said before, if you're going to unseat one you can't run as the anti candidate.

peace out...
