I know I'm a cynic but...why do they name it "GREENDRIVE" Brand name playing on the gullibility of the greenies to buy anything "green"? What makes this hdd "Green", they donate to some eco fund that pays algore enough money to buy a 100' houseboat or something? Soap Box

OK, the mean old man is going back on his porch, but you kids keep that damn ball out of my flowerbed! Old Man

It's less expensive to operate and more power efficient than the competition, or so they claim..

Quote:
Fantom Drives GreenDrives yield average drive power savings of 4-5 watts over competitors' drives while maintaining solid performance. That power savings equates to reducing CO2 emission by up to 60 kilograms per drive per year - the equivalent of taking your car off the road for 14 days each year, and saving up to $14 per year in electricity costs depending on the power-on-hours.

It's green because it doesn't use fossil fuels to run it and there are no CO or CO2 emissions from it. They stretch the word green a looooooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg way.

Dang, Moon Puppy, you still haven't forgiven me for batting that ball into your flower bed that ricocheted off the faucet and bonged you on the head? Peek

BTW, that is a sweet drive. Wonder how long it would take to fill a tb?
