Now don't be TOO upset , Dan. I'm sure that agreements were made so that some US citizens will be getting a piece of the profits. Remember when the original estimate of the cost of the war (80 billion) was given to us with a pill stating how the Iraqi oil would pay for the war.
My, how the gullible were fleeced.
It'll be interesting to check Halliburton and Carlyle Group yearly reports over the next years.
We deserve what we get for collectively enabling the SOS in office.
But that's just my opinion. _________________ January 20, 2009 - The End of an Error
Good for them. Considering what the Iraqis have been through, they deserve some good news.
Now that the Iraqi government is really starting to come together and the violence have dropped way off, the Iraqi people can start to rebuild their country and try to get back to some semblance of normal life. Not that this is occurring, leave it to TP to try to piss on 'em. _________________

Cheaper by far than suffering the effects of the international terrorism that it is an undeniable fact that Saddam was supporting. Even cheaper than going in and uprooting him after he did get the WMD's he also was undeniably in persuit of. How many body bags would they have had to fill if he actually had unleashed that stuff on our troops?
Funny how the Lemming Left likes to gloss over that. I guess they expect everybody to swallow their bought and paid for newsmedia's line of horsepuckey. But wait, they probably believe it themselves, because, contrary to their elevated opinions of themselves and their elitism, they really don't have a clue what they are talking about.
You may have noticed that the price of oil has been rather high lately. Thank goodness it is going down now. I also thank goodness that the Iraqi oil was in the supply lines to help ease the burden. It could have been a lot worse without it.
