If you have downloaded it, it's here in gimp.

Xtns/Script-Fu (bottom one) /logos/bling text

Here's an image of the opened zip file. The top file,
bling-text.scm goes into the scripts folder

All the rest go into the patterns folder - .pat extension, (except the readme file but it won't hurt if it gets put in there).

Sounds like the patterns may not be in the correct location.

What is the error message you see when you run Bling Text?

Looks like you may be right GW. It says....

ERROR:Procededure execution of gimp-context-set-pattern-failed.

What do I do to fix that??

When you uninstall, it leaves all your folders there.

Something's missing.

Can you browse to your gimp2.4/patterns folder and look in there? There should be a big list of patterns from the zip file in there. Maybe you missed some.

Since you probably haven't downloaded any other patterns, there should be a total of 20 pat files. The readme one would make 21 files in there if you included it.

This script has been updated to Bling Text V1.1 (download)

I've added a few new features including Shadow x/y offset, Shadow Opacity, and Raw Layers Options. Final bling images and animations are now auto-cropped.

Selecting "Raw Layers Only" returns only the raw layers. No semi-flatten function is applied to the raw layers and all raw layers retain their original sizes. To more easily work with the raw layers, you can bring up the layers dialog, right click on "Background" layer and select "Alpha to selection". Then, simply crop the image.

Enjoy!!
