I'm not sure I know what a Chicago style beef sandwitch is. What makes it Chicago style?
Around here, we typically go for pork sandwitches. Hickory smoked chopped pork sholder is the meat of choice, but you can get it sliced from a brisket or chunked if ya want. There are BBQ places all over with their own cooking/smoking styles, as well as original sauces. You just have to find ones that you like.
As far as beef goes, there are a few places that sell a good roast beef sandwitches, but I'm not sure if that's what you mean.
The best hot dogs are found in small hole in the wall places. They're served with chilli (no beans), onions and mustard. Again, you just have to find the ones you like. I prefer Petes in Greer. They have the best chilli cheese burgers, chilli cheese fries and hot dogs near my house. Very few places with good sausage dogs around here though. They're just not that popular. _________________

Ok....what are
Chicago Hot dogs? (Brace yourself, I know to the south does not sound good, But I d grits and sweet tea till I moved down here and got used to it, Now I like them)
Hot dog
Bun
lettuce
tomatos
onions
mustard
celrysalt
pickle
Note:
I reapet no ketchup or chilli, (I always say you rednecks are closet yankees by putting chilli on your hotdogs, Note: I am from the Midwest, I the Yankees from New York.)
Also you would be kicked out of the State of Illinois if you ask for Ketchup on your hotdogs.YUCK.
Ittalian beef sandwich:
It is hard to describe, because I have not tasted any good shredded beef down here.
We had hotdog stands up there like you have churchs down here one on every block.
Dang I am hungry, You know what I come to like down here also is the Fish frys, there good, I think I am going to go to one tonight.
(we did not really have that up North)
