Chemotherapy Causes Delayed Severe Neural Damage
| Quote: | | Cancer treatment with chemotherapeutic agents is often associated with delayed adverse neurological consequences - an occurrence often referred to as "chemobrain" - that may compromise the quality of life of a proportion of cancer survivors. Now, new research demonstrates that treatment with a single chemotherapeutic agent, 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), by itself is sufficient to cause a syndrome of delayed degeneration in the central nervous system (CNS). 5-FU is a widely used chemotherapeutic agent that is employed, alone or in combination with other agents, in the treatment of cancers of the colon, rectum, breast, stomach, pancreas, ovaries and bladder. link |
Yep, that's some nasty stuff.
There may be a big revolution underway in cancer treatment. Radio waves can kill cancer cells. The trick is to tag the cancer cells with a metallic compound and the radio waves can destroy them, without surrounding tissue damage or the other side effects associated with radiation and chemo.

Test results revealed in November 2007 in an issue of the medical journal "Cancer" show that the harmless radio waves described below were used to kill liver tumors in rabbits with a 100 percent success rate and without side effects. link |
