Just wanted to see if I could follow simple directions. Apparently, I can.

Wonderful site, this here forum!

Mr Wizard, feel free to delete if it is taking up too much room.

Edit: I went back and made it smaller in the initial post. Thanks for the tips!

Thanks.

So, how would I slim it down, without just cropping the picture? Resize it before uploading with some app that maintains the aspect ratio?

How can I know beforehand if it will fit the screen? Something to do with the size?

OIC what you mean, now text runs off the side, eeew, pretty pitcher but it is inconvenient.

Yeah,re-size it before you upload it. No more than 700 pixels wide, and it should fit the page here. Wink

Try that.

Hey Dustwun77

Nice pic.

I use a free app called irfanview to view and crop images. Fast, efficient and small. You can find it here.

Which one was that? I'd like to check it out, even if I am about as creative as a stump. I used the Paint.net one that is located on the page that had the free SW I posted.

Go up to Slider's post there and click on that irfanview link he put there. I think you'll like it too.

Thanks, shipmate, I've heard of it but never checked it out.

You're a gentleman and a scholar and a fine judge of cheap wine. :P
