Sure would lead a lot more credence if he had one of those autographed photos "Nice working with you Ed" we see when guys retire.

Or even if several of these guys came out and made a statement. That would be VERY hard to ignore.

But if that happened, what next? What would be the next step to public acceptance?

It is interesting. I would not be surprised if it were true, though I have no pictures or proof. An elected official who seems sane enough gave an affirmation on the Arizona Lights as being a large hovering craft. And another astronaut commented on it during one of the Apollo missions (just saw it on "When we Left Earth, but don't remember the flight #). He didn't see faces, just another object in space that was moving along with them at a distance, but still unknown.

I'm sure if it were true, the govt. would be worried about panic, though I doubt we'd espreience the same panic as we might have in the 50's when it was new.

It makes as much sense to me as seeing a burning wheel in the sky, or a cloud that keeps people way lit at night and remains covered during the day as they wander for forty years. Who says the two aren't related? I certainly don't know, but remain open-minded.
