American Idle....

Yeah I know, Idle...

My Bride doesn't understand why I want that kid shot for butchering Baba O'Riley. She's not a Who fan.

These are the last 4 and this is what they have to offer? The guy just blew the lines...

Unfortunately my 2 favorites were kicked off (prematurely) a while ago - Michael Johns and Carly Smithson. I was really hoping they would be in the top 3. I also liked Brooke White but she seemed to be getting nervous/forgetting the words unfortunately.

The only person who deserves to be there as far as I'm concerned is David A. (the 17 year old that always does the ballads). I thought he did really well with the Elvis song.

I hope the guy with the dreads (Jason Castro) gets the boot tomorrow.

well, with the ones that are left,I like David A. As far as the dude with the dreadlocks,if he would staighten that hair out,he could pass for a girl. His face is too purdy.

That's for sure!

I read somewhere that the German version of Idol (just so y'all know my pun was intended Wink ) the voters attempt to vote the worse through to the next round just to mess with show. wonder if this is happening here now.

Th comments so far enforce my belief that I've never missed anything by not ever viewing that show.

There's great stuff on the History Channel. Check it out!

It's interesting to see who gets voted off,and then you find out they ARE that good, and have a cd out. Simon is quite entertaining too. Laff My Azz Off

The History Channel, and The Animal Planet are good shows. I watch those too.

One show I REALLY like is "How It's Made". Check it out.

Dirty Jobs is funny in an entertaining way.

I was disappointed that Simon didn't rip that kid for the butchering of Baba O'Riley, suppose I set my hopes to high sometimes.

It was the worst pool of talent they have had on that show since it started.

I agree with Joy, Carly had the most vocal ability of any of the contestants but she wasn't what I'd consider to be spectacular. Certainly, she's not on the same level as some other AI winners (or runner's up) but she is a quality vocalist.

Castro was weak and I can't believe he made it that far. It sure didn't have much to do with vocal ability.

Syesha can't stay on pitch, especially when she powers up the volume on her vocals. It's sounds terrible, at least to my ear.

Archuleta can stay on key but there is nothing unique about his voice or his vocal style. His voice has no maturity and he lacks passion but that is to be expected in someone so young.

Cook is the best that's left. He has a unique tonal quality to his voice which makes him sound current. Overall, he's out performed all of the other contestants.

My 2c..

Congrats to David Cook for the unexpected blowout win.

He was certainly the best talent they had left in the competition.

I thought it was a pretty weak year, with the exception of just a few contestants.

Big Ruben showed 'em all up on the final night with "Celebrate me home"

I thought the finale was fun and while I was rooting for David A. ("archie") I was very happy for David C. ("cookie"). Whoo Hoo
