Yeah, I'm a diehard Boston fan, the city of, and whenever I drove down Commonwealth Ave, I would look at the place they used to live, or get by, before they became famous and rich. The guitarist in my old band works at the Boston Four Seasons and whenever they played Boston, even though they lived there, they stayed at the Four Seasons and he had to get rid of all the alcohol from the rooms. They really had it tough there in the late seventies and early eighties with their abuses of drink and drug.
Steve actually ran into his burning house in Hull, Massachusetts a few years back to save his cat, much respect for him on that. Liv, his daughter, played my favorite elf in the Lord of the Rings movie and is even a friend of mine on my myspace page. Keith Allison Music
The secret to Steve saving his voice all these years, the times it sounds like he is screaming he is actually doing it quieter than his normal talking voice.
Major props to the the Tyler family and the rest of Aerosmith.

I met a lady yesterday that saw the show and said that Aerosmith was incredible. She also mentioned how embarrassing Motley Crue was. 40 and 50 year old teenagers bumping and grinding women onstage. Any truth to that?

That is funny about Motley Crue as my boss has been trying to get me to see them for the last four years. He sees them three four times a year and I never went. I actually never have seen Aerosmith either. I was going to go with my sister to see Aerosmith with Ted Nugent in the early eighties but my parents deemed the concert to crazy for a 10 year old to go. It was at the Boston Gardens. Maybe I will catch them when they come through Ohio if they are touring with the Crue as then I would go with my boss and please him by seeing Crue and please myself with seeing Aerosmith.

Aerosmith have scored hits with Cryin' and Love In An Elevator
Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler has revealed he fought a secret battle with Hepatitis C three years ago.
The star needed chemotherapy when he was diagnosed with the virus, which can cause fatal liver problems.
The treatment was successful, but it just "about killed me," he told US TV show Access Hollywood.
The World Health Organisation estimates that 170 million around the world people have the Hepatitis C virus, which is carried in the blood.
People with the infection can pass it on if their blood gets under the skin or into the bloodstream of another person - by sexual contact, blood transfusions or sharing needles, for example.
Tyler said he wants to raise awareness of the disease.
"Of all the people in this room, at least three have it and don't know it. It's the silent killer," he said.
"It's one of those things people don't speak about it, but it is treatable."
Aerosmith had their first US number one in September 1998 with ballad I Don't Want To Miss A Thing, from the soundtrack of the film Armageddon.
Their other hits include Cryin', Dude (Looks like a Lady) and Walk This Way.
Earlier this year, they were forced to cancel several US tour dates while Tyler had throat surgery.
The band are now back on the road with fellow metal band Motley Crue, and are due to release a greatest hits compilation, featuring two new songs, in October. |
